These are fixed restorations used to replace missing teeth. It involves using teeth either side of a gap to support a false tooth which resides in the gap (therefore ‘bridging’ the gap). They are also made by a specialist dental technician to resemble the patient’s own teeth. There are different types of bridge, and the dentist will advise which type is appropriate in each case. They can replace one or several adjacent missing teeth.
