The dentist will always try to save the patient’s teeth, but when a tooth/teeth becomes irretrievably diseased or broken down, then it will have to be extracted. This is done very carefully under local anaesthetic. Appropriate post-operative instructions are given to ensure comfortable and rapid healing.
