Treatments: Tooth whitening
Anyone with stained or discoloured teeth can improve their appearance with tooth whitening.
What causes tooth discolouration?
Coloured food and drink, including red wine, tea and coffee, as well as smoking can stain teeth; whitening aims to reverse this process. Prolonged antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also discolour teeth.
Is whitening safe?
Yes (under supervision of a trained dentist)! Teeth are whitened from the inside, without altering their structure or strength, hence a completely non-invasive procedure. Whitening is generally not recommended for pregnant/lactating women.
At Brookmans Park Dental we offer a choice of 2 different whitening treatments depending on your requirements:
1. Enlighten Evolution Whitening - Enlighten is a revolutionary whitening system which combines close-fitting, customised whitening trays that you wear overnight for 2 weeks (containing their special patented gel), with a 1 hour power whitening session in the chair.
