Some patients are understandably very nervous about having any dental treatment. We therefore offer sedation to make the patient feel more relaxed and comfortable. The sedation is carried out in the dental chair by the dentist, and treatment is undertaken when the patient is fully relaxed. The sedated patient is still conscious, but requires a friend/relative to accompany them and help them return home.
